SATURDAY FIREFIGHTER TRAINING
Clockwise from left: Lacey, Lovie, Armandi, and Nicky do a 4-way Ball Slam Drill that I came up with...pretty cool stuff!
As Nicky and Lovie were doing a grueling Hose Drag Drill, this dude rolled up and tried to sell them some Ice Cream. I volunteered to hold their Ice Cream until they were finished, but...I don't think they trusted me.
Nicky got so dirty that I told her she looked like a Chimneysweep!
She was cool with that, offering sweaty, dirty hugs to anyone who wanted one...
...the agony of da shins!
Lovie cracked herself in the shin as she started her seventh turn...
...her pain soon turned to joy as we called the drill off after six torturous rounds....
SATURDAY 10am INTERMEDIATE CLASS
Hands-Free Front Squat Drill...essential for learning good Cleans, Front Squats, and Thrusters...
Roberto and Roy took their workout outside, in the clean air and sunshine...
Ruben stayed inside...guess he didn't wanna dirty up his new Nikes...haha...
If my hunch is right, Bonnie is giving Matt that look because he probably just dropped a really loud F-Bomb right before the picture was taken...

SATURDAY 9AM BEGINNER'S CLASS
Visitor Maya tried her very first Crossfit class this morning, and the news I got back is that she is "hooked!"
New guy Stacy also had his first Crossfit class this morning...
Paul's been coming for a while, and he's a good example of someone who comes to the Beginner Class who is at the upper range of "Beginner." In other words, he's pretty dang fit!
Marcus visited today for the second time this year...he trains regularly at LaLanne Fitness in the Bay Area...
Kettlebell High Pulls! Lydia, there, on the right...is another good example of someone who attends the Beginner Class occasionally, even though she could easily pass for Intermediate!
Sagi helps Maya with her High Pull form while Marcus does his own thing in the background.
Sagi is actually going to be coaching an ongoing class for VCF, every Tuesday and Thursday at 5:30am.
That class is scheduled to start on December 16th. Please email me to let me know if you'll be attending, so I can give Sagi a rough headcount.

GIRLS CAN BE NINJA WARRIORS, TOO!!!
Last July, we were honored to have Luci Steel train with us...Luci was the first female Ninja Warrior on the TV Show of the same name...

CROSSFIT TRAINING...GOOD ENOUGH FOR NINJA WARRIORS, GOOD ENOUGH FOR ME!
A couple of people every week will ask me, "Have you ever seen that Ninja Warrior TV Show on the G4 Network?"
Well, not only have I seen it, and yes...I agree with you that it's amazing...but Valley Crossfit has been host to a number of Ninja Warrior contestants and finalists.
You may recognize Levi here as one of the most talked about Ninja Warrior finalists ever! Levi recently traveled to Japan and outlasted all the Japanese competitors to be the last man standing!
Levi's first "Fran" was pretty impressive...his Thrusters were good...
...his Kipping Pullups were fantastic...
...but Crossfit does not discriminate...it crushes Navy SEALs, SWAT officers...even Ninja Warriors!
Ha ha! Levi doesn't look too much worse for the wear after the workout, though!
Levi's good at Crossfit, but here's where he really shines!
THANKSGIVING DAY 5K
Thanks to the VCFers who ran...next year, I'd like to have just as many black shirts in the group photo as red shirts!!!

TUESDAY CROSSFIT
Most people are content after a brutal Crossfit workout to head out and just have breakfast...not the Team Tempest guys, though!
After this morning's workout, they stayed and worked on the latest crazy Freerunning moves!
Here, Paul and Victor spot Gabe on...hell...I can't even remember what they called it. It was crazy, though!
